Ja n 19 97 QUANTUM FIELD THEORIES ON ALGEBRAIC CURVES
نویسنده
چکیده
In this talk the main features of the operator formalism for the b − c systems on general algebraic curves developed in refs. [1]–[2] are reviewed. The first part of the talk is an introduction to the language of algebraic curves. Some explicit techniques for the construction of meromorphic tensors are explained. The second part is dedicated to the discussion of the b−c systems. Some new results concerning the concrete representation of the basic operator algebra of the b− c systems and the calculation of divisors on algebraic curves have also been included. 1 Talk delivered by F. Ferrari at the IX Max Born Symposium, Karpacz (PL), September 24–28, 1996. 0

The perturbative treatment of quantum field theory is formulated within the framework of algebraic quantum field theory. We show that the algebra of interacting fields is additive, i.e. fully determined by its subalgebras associated to arbitrary small subregions of Minkowski space. We also give an algebraic formulation of the loop expansion by introducing a projective system A of observables “u...

متن کاملGromov–witten Classes, Quantum Cohomology, and Enumerative Geometry
The paper is devoted to the mathematical aspects of topological quantum field theory and its applications to enumerative problems of algebraic geometry. In particular, it contains an axiomatic treatment of Gromov–Witten classes, and a discussion of their properties for Fano varieties. Cohomological Field Theories are defined, and it is proved that tree level theories are determined by their cor...

For manifolds with freely generated first homology, we characterize gerbes with connection as functors on a certain surface cobordism category. This allows us to relate gerbes with connection to Turaev's 1+1-dimensional homotopy quantum field theories, and we show that flat gerbes on such spaces as above are the same as a specific class of rank one homotopy quantum field theories.
